As Vice President, I worked side-by-side with John when he was second in command at the Interior Department.

He protected our national parks, redwood forests and the Delta. He stopped the dumping of nuclear waste in the California desert and held corporate polluters accountable for toxins in our water. And few officials have done more than John Garamendi to protect the California coast from oil drilling.
